The Secret Of The Unicorn
In a time half-forgotten, Chester shimmered with magic. Beneath The Rows, witches, wizards and Potion Masters brewed strange concoctions, tested daring spells, and occasionally blew the roof off a vault or two.
The Wizard’s Guild tried to keep order, but one sorcerer refused to behave: Randolf Bollingbrake, a menace to magical society and a danger to cathedral stonework. Seeking a minion, he cast a forbidden transfiguration spell on an Imp carved into Chester Cathedral, pouring so much wickedness into the creature that a passing monk reportedly saw the devil himself.
The Guild swiftly intervened, imprisoning Bollingbrake inside a portrait for eternity. They recorded his exile only as “crimes unknown,” unwilling to speak of the unnatural act. Though the sorcerer was trapped, the Imp remained free, gleefully causing chaos across magical Chester.
Unable to capture the Imp or undo the spell, there is only one solution. Our Alchemists, working closely with the noble Monocerous Unicorns, discovered that the essence drawn from their horns could bend time itself.
